The lists are here to help you check range. They’re not a claim of projects in each place. Whatever the neighborhood, the site visit is where we learn what your specific lot needs.
Close to the city core, lots tend to be tight, with alley access and older fences on shared lines. Farther out, yards are bigger, slopes are longer and fence runs add up fast. Both are normal work for us.

What local lots throw at us
Every area has its own quirks. These come up across the whole region.

Hills
Sloped yards mean taller posts, stepped fence panels and decks that sit high on one side. We plan the stairs and footings around the grade, not the other way round.

Wet soil
Clay and saturated ground hold water around posts and footings. Drainage at the base of every post is standard for us.
- S.3
Shade
Big conifers keep decks and fences damp and drop needles all year. It’s a big reason we push capped composite on shaded decks.

Tight access
Narrow side yards, alleys and stairs down to the back yard. Materials may be carried in by hand. We factor that in at the estimate.
We group site visits by part of town when we can, so an Eastside or south-county visit may land on a set day of the week. Tell us your timing when you get in touch and we’ll work with it. Distance doesn’t change how we build. The same framing, the same post setting, the same cleanup apply in Wallingford and in Kent.
